This is the mountain you see from my parents' kitchen window. Of course, this is more the Agassiz view of Cheam than the Chilliwack view. Rest in peace, E.J. Hughes.

that's funny, I just heard a thing on CBC-1 the other morning (yesterday, I think?) about him. they said he wasn't recognized in his time because he was doing landscapes when abstract was the rage, but now his paintings sell for 6 figures!
