The Wesley brothers called him "the man of the wounded heart." And he was also a bit of a rascal when it came to dealing with heretics - sneakily glueing the pages of their books together!

Yes, that is a funny story about him gluing pages together of heretical books. I remember at David and Anna's when we read a very long and thorough bit on St. Ephraim....good times! I definitely think that his story should be told around camp fires...I dunno, just seems like that would be cool...
And remember also how he drooled when he entered Edessa to make all the people think he was insane, and how the Synaxarion described this practice (including the drooling) as a sign of his sanctity!
